FileFormatException when opening sscexx1.clx

Product: Sentry Spelling Checker Engine Java SDK, All versions

Problem: I purchased one of Wintertree Software's dictionaries (e.g., French). When I attempt to open sscexx1.clx (e.g., sscefr1.clx) I get a FileFormatException:

Can't open sscefr1.clx(url,c) com.wintertree.ssce.FileFormatException: expected magic number 1459619073; read 1397965637

Solution:

The sscexx1.clx files, including with Wintertree Software's dictionary products, are intended for older versions of our spelling technology. They should not be used with Sentry Spelling Checker Engine Java SDK. See the readme.htm file which comes with the dictionary for specific instructions on using the dictionary with Sentry Java SDK.
