Synopsis

A software component developers can use to add a spell checker to their Windows applications and Web page forms.

Includes a 32-bit ActiveX control (OCX) and 100,000 word American, Canadian, and UK English dictionaries.

WSpell can spell-check words, text strings, and the contents of standard text boxes and rich-text boxes, plus TX Text Control interactively or on-the-fly (in the background). Background checking cannot be used in Internet Explorer.

WSpell includes built-in dialog boxes which the user interacts with to correct misspelled words. Applications can also call WSpell's methods to check spelling and look up suggested replacements for misspelled words directly.

Works with

Any 32-bit language/development environment that can use ActiveX controls, including Visual Basic and Internet Explorer. Works on all 32-bit versions of Windows, including Windows 95, 98, 2000, XP, Vista, and Windows 7.

Effort needed to integrate with your application

To check spelling of text in a text box/rich text box interactively using built-in dialog: Just add 2 statements to your code

To check spelling of a text box as the user types: Just add 3 statements to your code

To check spelling of text in a string interactively using built-in dialog: Just add 2 statements to your code
